Electronic Components Council

Organization

 The Electronic Components Council (ECC) provides a forum to develop and discuss business issues and requirements that drive best practices in operations, quality, management, marketing and communications strategies. This activity results in the production of guidelines for the electronic components industry.  Click HERE for a pdf of the Council structure.

Through a non-competitive, collaborative effort, this council recognizes common, global problems and issues within the electronics industry, then formally organizes committees to address them and provide direction, guidance and benefit to everyone in the supply chain. The Council  is responsible for identifying industry issues, assigning them to committees, managing the committee activities, publishing industry deliverables, and beginning the process of global networking.

Objectives:

Establish industry value;
Build consistency to the Committee Chairperson role;
Expand the membership and depth fo the Components Council, Committee Chair's and Committee members;
Build global alliances/expand collaboration;
Market council activities and industry deliverables;
Implement an annual industry business planning process

ECIA members on this council work to recognize common, global problems and issues within the electronics industry. Formally organized committees address the issues and provide direction and guidance to benefit all sectors of the supply chain. Committee membership is open exclusively to ECIA members affected by or interested in the scope of the committee activity.
