EDI Committee

Organization

The EDI committee is reviewing the most used transactions within our industry and recommending changes that will better support our needs and help make it easier to initiate transactions with a new trading partner. As part of this effort, ECIA is investigating the necessity to manage the transactions sets for our industry. Tasks include:
  1. Review existing ANSI EDI Transactions and determine which of these are required by Supplier and Distributor.
  2. Transaction content will be reviewed and a determination made of whether or not these are sufficient for today’s business environment.
  3. Standard data content will be recommended with expected usage and with deliverable quantifiable results.
